Building, chests and bots' weapons are not done yet

The home base opens: heroes, squads, armory, skills and quests. The map, the loot llamas and the store have nothing to show yet, and missions cannot be played

Retrora runs its own voice server in place of the one the game used: the game signs in and joins the match channel. Talking between two players is being tested

About matches. These builds ship only the client; Epic never published the dedicated server. Retrora hosts the match itself and is rebuilding what a server does, one piece at a time. A Season 1 (1.8.1) match against bots can be played to an elimination screen or a Victory Royale; building, chests and other players are still being added, so it is not listed as a full game yet.

One account, two addresses

Sign in with either form. They are the same account.

Usernames are 3–24 characters: letters, digits, dash or underscore. The launcher tells you if a name is free while you type.

Installing

  1. Download the launcherRetroraSetup.exe on Windows (run it and follow the steps; it installs Retrora for your account, adds it to the Start menu and can uninstall it from Installed apps), Retrora-linux-x86_64.tar.gz on Linux (unpack it and run install.sh to add it to your applications menu; the games themselves are Windows programs, so on Linux they run through Wine or Proton). On a Mac or an Xbox, press Play now and play Season 1 in the browser.
  2. Create an accountA username and a password. The first account on a fresh server becomes its admin.
  3. Pick a build and press PlayThe launcher downloads it, points it at the server and starts it.
  4. First run: press Enter onceSeason 1 shows an empty agreement panel. Enter dismisses it.
